Beyond Cruelty is a new band made up of players with extensive experience across various subgenres of the alternative music scene. The band features (ex-)members of Cornered, Bladecrusher, Bloodsucker, Meddler, and Florida Men, to name a few.

After Florida Men and Bloodsucker shared the stage at Jera On Air in ’23, the members found themselves talking backstage. They shared a mutual desire to form a band that would be the perfect blend of punk rock and hardcore. A year later, they planned their first practice session, and six months after that, they recorded their debut EP.

On the band’s self-titled debut EP released on Morning Wood Records, you’ll clearly hear classic hardcore and punk influences combined with heaps of melody and fast, driving beats across six songs. While the EP is rooted in nostalgia, that feeling quickly gives way to a strong sense of freshness and realism as you continue listening. With powerful melodic and emotional hooks, these songs are hard to shake.

Beyond Cruelty is here, delivering the energy of hardcore punk with melodic instincts and fast rhythms.
