News: Suburgent and 10 To Go are back

There’s finally some news from the Leeuwarden punk rock bands Suburgent and 10 To Go! In September of last year 10 To Go bass player Wytze de Jong decided to split with the band due to his ambition of becoming a professional judoist and participating at the Olympic Games of 2016. Good luck, dude!

Willem (also active as the vocalist in Shit Hits The Fan) left Suburgent in December. After playing two final shows with Blowfuse, the band was looking for a new singer. Well, the choice was pretty easy to make! Pieter from 10 To Go now also has vocal duties in Suburgent and Jildert, who joined Suburgent as a bass player three months ago, is now also member of 10 To Go. The latter band released their second full-length album “Back On Track” in June of 2014. They are currently working on new music and shows.

Suburgent will hit the studio tomorrow to record a new song called “No Straight Ankles”. And yes, the name’s a parody on No Fun At All‘s album “No Straight Angles”. Keep an eye out for this track as it will definitely grind your gears. Good things are coming your way, that’s for sure!

News: Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas and a happy new year from Morning Wood Records and the bands! The records in the picture are the great things we’ve released in 2014, and we’ll be releasing a lot more stuff in the future! Next year there will be more bands signed to the label, more albums coming out and some exciting news we can’t announce yet! We’re really stoked about all of this and hope you’re too. It was a good first “official” year, and I have a feeling it’s just getting better and better.

Morning Wood Records Christmas

News: 95-C tour Europe and post new songs

95-C, your favorite punk rock band from Chamonix, France are releasing their upcoming album ‘Homeward Bound’ next month. The band told us that there is some delay at the factory, so it’s not certain yet when you can order a copy from the Morning Wood Records store. Don’t worry, we’ll keep you updated!

Besides that, 95-C also posted two songs from ‘Homeward Bound’, which can be listened at the band’s Bandcamp page. But the fun isn’t over yet! In support of the release they will do an European tour from September 5th to September 20th. Check them out when the fine lads cross your hometown!

The Dutch release show of ‘Homeward Bound’ is at Café Mukkes, Leeuwarden on September 15th, along with fellow labelmates Shit Hits The Fan, 10 To Go and Suburgent. The latter band will be playing their first show this evening!

News: 10 To Go – ‘Back On Track’ out now

That means it’s not just another Monday morning, no, today we celebrate the release of 10 To Go‘s second full-length album ‘Back On  Track’. 10 To Go hail from Leeuwarden, The Netherlands and mix punk rock with elements of ska and reggae. You know, something like the result of a fertile relationship between NOFX, Rancid and Sublime. The perfect soundtrack for the summer, winter and everything in between if you ask us! ‘Back On Track’ was released on CD and is available on the regular downloading sites and streaming services, such as iTunes, Spotify, Deezer and many more.
