News: Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas and a happy new year from Morning Wood Records and the bands! The records in the picture are the great things we’ve released in 2014, and we’ll be releasing a lot more stuff in the future! Next year there will be more bands signed to the label, more albums coming out and some exciting news we can’t announce yet! We’re really stoked about all of this and hope you’re too. It was a good first “official” year, and I have a feeling it’s just getting better and better.

News: Höney’s soundtrack to Christmas
Our favorite Italian punk rock band Höney has released a new Christmas song called “Another Xmas”. Screw Mariah Carey and Frank Sinatra, what you need is a punk rock soundtrack to your holiday season. You can now stream the track below and download the song on a pay-what-you-want basis. Oh.. and did we already tell you there’s another new song called “Nightmare” on it too? Looks like Christmas doesn’t get any better!
News: Straightline join the label
Straightline from Munich, Germany have joined the Morning Wood family and we’re really stoked about if we have to say so ourselves! The band is known for their eclectic mix of punk rock, hardcore and metal and have released a bunch of great albums and EP’s since the late 90’s.
And to get you even more excited, we’ll be releasing their 2013 album “Final Redemption” for the first time on CD on February 2nd!
Straightline have shared stages with punk rock legends such as Satanic Surfers, Mute, Face To Face, Ignite, Venerea and A Wilhelm Scream amongst others. The band has also toured through Europe multiple times and will do an Japan tour in February!
News: New track by RunningLate!
We’re stoked to announce that we’ll be releasing the new three track EP “Spectators” by RunningLate on January 5th! The band hails from Zwolle, The Netherlands and their fast, melodic 90’s and early 00’s punk rock can be compared to bands such as Much The Same, 88 Fingers Louie and the early work of Rise Against. To get you all excited and shit you can now listen to their new track “The Bar” below!

“Spectators” will be coming out digitally and on CD on January 5th. Pre-orders are popping up in the store in a couple of weeks from now! And to get you guys even more in the RunningLate mood, we’ll also be digitally releasing their 2013 EP “Catching Up”. The EP is also available on CD and they are almost completely sold out, but we’ll be selling the last ones in the Morning Wood Records store soon. A better way to start the new year? I think not.
