News: New Shit Hits The Fan EP “Unstuck In Time” posted!

We’re stoked to present to you the new EP “Unstuck In Time” by our very own Shit Hits The Fan! The EP features four brand new straightforward, hard-edged melodic punk rock songs as crafted in California in the 90’s. You can stream the tracks below and download the entire EP for free on our Bandcamp page.

“Unstuck In Time” is the follow-up of Shit Hits The Fan’s 2013 album “The First And Worst Record” and is now also digitally available on iTunes, Spotify, Deezer and all other popular streaming services and download platforms. The EP will also be released on CD and we expect them to arrive next week.

News: Please welcome Dearly Divided!

Californian punk rock never disappoints, that’s why it was about time we got our hands on a band from California that definitely has its roots in the right place and know how to make some amazing melodic punk rock. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Dearly Divided to the Morning Wood Records club!

GroupPicV001ABDearly Divided digitally released their full-length album “Dearly Divided” in 2014. And all good things in life come physically, so we’re stoked to announce that we’ll be releasing the album on CD in late February/March. The band’s own record label 45th Parallel Records will take care of the release in the USA and Morning Wood Records is your platform in Europe. Listen to the album below and get psyched already!

“Dearly Divided” was produced by Ben & Scott (Green Day, Against Me!) at NuTone Studios and was mixed by Sir Michael Rosen (Rancid, AFI, Less Than Jake). The album was received very well and even finished #7 at the top 100 albums of 2014 by the punk rock/skatepunk E-zine We Live In Hell.

News: Suburgent and 10 To Go are back

There’s finally some news from the Leeuwarden punk rock bands Suburgent and 10 To Go! In September of last year 10 To Go bass player Wytze de Jong decided to split with the band due to his ambition of becoming a professional judoist and participating at the Olympic Games of 2016. Good luck, dude!

Willem (also active as the vocalist in Shit Hits The Fan) left Suburgent in December. After playing two final shows with Blowfuse, the band was looking for a new singer. Well, the choice was pretty easy to make! Pieter from 10 To Go now also has vocal duties in Suburgent and Jildert, who joined Suburgent as a bass player three months ago, is now also member of 10 To Go. The latter band released their second full-length album “Back On Track” in June of 2014. They are currently working on new music and shows.

Suburgent will hit the studio tomorrow to record a new song called “No Straight Ankles”. And yes, the name’s a parody on No Fun At All‘s album “No Straight Angles”. Keep an eye out for this track as it will definitely grind your gears. Good things are coming your way, that’s for sure!

News: RunningLate’s “Spectators” EP released!

The new EP “Spectators” by RunningLate is out today! About time if you ask me. You can order the three track EP at the Morning Wood Records store and stream and download it on Spotify, iTunes, Deezer, Xbox Live and almost everywhere else. At the store you can also pick up a €4,99 combo deal which will get you “Spectators” and RunningLate’s 2013 EP “Catching Up” for a very punk rock price!

… and we know it’s hard to remember all the details of a band, so here’s some background information to freshen things up a little bit: “The guys in RunningLate hail from Zwolle, The Netherlands and formed the band in 2009. Their 90’s and early 00’s melodic punk rock style can be compared to bands such as No Use For A Name, Much The Same, 88 Fingers Louie and the early work of Rise Against.
